Please Note: The new 2008 Surefire models are not yet listed in the Comparison Charts. The models in question are 6PDL, 6PN, 9PL, C2L, E1B, E2DL, G2ZL, G3L, UA2 Optimus, UB2 Invictus and Z2L. Surefire have released specification details for the majority of these models, however, some data is not yet available (such as high-output runtime on the new Ultramax Series models).

Where a torch has variable output, the maximum output value is used
In ranking the torches on this table, the battery life of each torch is not considered. To see the estimated battery life for each torch click the 'more info' link to see the full specification.
Because the lumen measure total light output without acounting for the reflector, it is possible that a torch with a lower lumen rating could throw a beam further than a torch with a higher lumen output.
