A flashlight for use during frequent airline travel will be compact, lightweight and have a reasonably long runtime. All of the torches recommended in this section are small enough to be conveniently carried in a pocket or handbag.
The LED models all have an excellent runtime ranging from 3 hours in the case of the E2L Outdoorsman through to around 90 hours for the lowest beam setting of the L1 Lumamax. Should the user want a slightly more pwerful beam then one of the incadescant Executive Elite models are listed, although this greater power is at the expense of a reduced runtime.
All of the torches are made from lightweight yet strong aerospace grade aluminium and will be ideal for an emergency situation, should the worst happen.
