In 1990 Spyderco shook things up by introducing two knives, the Delica and Endura. First of their kind on the market, both folders opened up the knife market to lightweight performance, one-hand open pocketknives that just about everyone could afford. They settled as Spyderco’s top two bestsellers and their improvement hasn’t slowed since.

Refinement has been so ongoing and continual Spyderco tagged the updating/upgrading process with the term CQI- Constant Quality Improvement. During the Endura and Delica’s CQI journey Spyderco tweaked ergonomics, refined blade steels and fine-tuned their performance countless times. They are an evolutionary work in progress and the next level is here with the new Endura4 and Delica4.

The Endura changed the way the world makes folding knives. When Spyderco released it in 1990 people poked fun at its untraditional appearance and features. It introduced one-hand-open, lightweight folders to the knife buying public offering tremendous performance for dollar value. Since then the Endura has undergone many evolutionary refinements and upgrades retaining its title as the first (and quite possibly the finest) lightweight one-hand open, folder available.

Introducing the new stainless Endura 4, it fills your palm with a handful of steel yet doesn't seem weighty or unwieldy. Knife Knuts who prefer something heavier and stouter seem to gravitate to steel handled knives. Since the handle surface is flat and smooth it offers an ideal palette for engraving and personalizing your knife.

As part of Spyderco’s CQI (Constant Quality Improvement) philosophy the C10S now offers improved ergonomics - added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping, a larger thumbhole, a stronger thicker tip and a new 4-way clip design (R/L reversible & Tip-up/Tip-down). The hollow-ground blade has been upgraded to VG-10 and is available in a PlainEdge, SpyderEdge or ComboEdge configuration.

Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and make an anchor for all external and internal components to attach through adding sturdiness and rigidity.
